We have enjoyed a whirlwind of activity for the start of this year. Many thanks to my good friend Donna Gaston of Entouch Travel for an unforgettable FIRST trip to Dubai (yes, I will be going back). From the tallest buildings and greatest shopping malls and souks to the desert in Abu Dhabi and everything in between, it is an experience not to be missed. Then with little more than a week between Lee and I embarked on a truly magical week with family in Cape Town South Africa. From our ultra luxurious Airbnb digs we explored the country every day. A very choppy ferry ride took us to the highly enlightening Robben Island penal colony where we viewed the actual prison cell of Nelson Mandela. Many of the tour guides are former inmates who now live on the island in much coveted housing. We enjoyed authentic African dishes, gift shopped in the cleanest and largest malls I've ever seen and viewed breathtakingly beautiful scenery everywhere. Much love to my family for such a great trip.
